Membership

You Belong at the YMCA

The YMCA is much more than a fitness center – it’s a community. And the YMCA has something for every member of our community and every fitness level: kids, teens, adults, families and seniors. Gather with your friends, make new friends, grow with your family and let us give you great service.

AWAY—Always Welcome at YMCA's

Members of the Missouri Valley Family YMCA are welcome at YMCA’s nationwide, as part of the national A.W.A.Y. This offers members a chance to keep in touch with the YMCA and exercise when they travel. Please contact local YMCA's for any restrictions that may apply. YMCA members from other YMCA’s may use the Missouri Valley YMCA fourteen times per calendar year at no cost. After fourteen visits, a half price guest fee is charged.

Insurance

It is the responsibility of every individual or their parent or guardian to provide for their own accident and health coverage while participating in YMCA activities. Neither accident nor health coverage is provided for participants by the YMCA.

Special Needs

Persons with disabilities are encouraged to participate in YMCA programs. If you require special assistance, please contact the Member Service Desk. We have elevator access to all levels of the building, and aquatic wheelchairs and ramp for use in the Kerr Pool. Private changing rooms and showers are available in the Family/Special Needs Locker Room.

Carry Your Membership ID Card

It is necessary for anyone five years and older to present their ID card for admittance to your YMCA. If a member forgets his/her card, the member must verify membership with a photo ID. Membership cards are non-transferable. Any member who lends his/her card or assists a non-member in unauthorized use of the facility subjects their membership to revocation. If you do not have an ID card, stop by the MSD.

Member and Guest Code of Conduct

The Missouri Valley Family YMCA is committed to providing a safe, healthy, welcoming atmosphere for its members and guests, while respecting each individual’s privacy. We expect persons using the YMCA to follow facility policies and use the YMCA Character Development values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility in their conduct and relationships with others. Specifically our YMCA member code of conduct prohibits:

  • Harassment or intimidation or threatening conduct.

Please seek assistance from YMCA staff if needed.
