Racquetball

Fall Adult Open Leagues

Dates: League Begins the Week of September 12th

Ages: Adult members age 18 or older (must have a membership to play)

Days/Times: 1 match per week. Days and times arranged by players.

Registration: Begins August 9th and ends Wednesday, September 8th

Fees: $10 – YMCA members only with 90% payback

Description: Players can sign up for Gold, Silver, or Bronze divisions (we may combine divisions depending on numbers). Players play everyone in their league/group and the top players from each league are seeded for play-offs.  League format each week is three games to 15 points, playing for total points.  Format for the play-offs is a best of 3 series, playing to win games (points don’t matter in play-offs).

 

 

Winter Open Leagues

 Dates: League Begins the Week of January 11th

Ages: Adult members age 18 or older (must have a membership to play)

Registration: Begins December 7th – January 6th

Fees: $10 – YMCA members only with 90% payback

Golf

Itty Bitty Golf Lessons and Junior Golf Lessons

Dates: September 13th through October 5th

Ages: Kids ages 4 to 12 - Groups will be split by age and ability

Days: Mondays or Tuesdays

Times: 4:30 pm - 5:15 pm 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm

Registration: Begins August 9th - until filled

Fees: $27 for YMCA members, $39 for non-members

Location: NEW - will be held at the Pebble Creek Golf Course driving range and practice area (golf dome).

Description: All kids will learn golf basics during their 4 lessons. We will have 3 stations each week and focus on 1. full shots with woods and irons 2. chipping 3. putting All participants will receive a  t-shirt. The group will rotate around to each of the 3 stations, spending 12 or 13 minutes at each station. Experienced instructors will be available to help guide kids and teach them correct fundamentals.

Floor Hockey

Fall League

Dates: October 2nd through October 30th

Ages: Pre-school (at least age 4) through 6th grade

Days: Saturday Afternoons

Times: Pre School/Kindergarten 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm

1st and 2nd Grade 4:00 pm to 4:45 pm

3rd and 4th Grade 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm

5th and 6th Grade 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm

Registration: Begins August 30th-until filled

Fees: $24 for YMCA members, $42 for non-members

Location: YMCA- McDowell Gym

Description: This program is COED and consists of games each week. All equipment is provided by the YMCA. YMCA staff will administer the game and make sure all kids receive equal playing time. We will split teams each week based on participants.

 

 

Spring League

Dates: April 16th Through May 14th (no games on April 23rd- Easter)

Ages: Pre-school (at least age 4) through 6th grade

Days: Saturday Mornings

Times: 5th and 6th Grade 9:00am to 9:45am

3rd and 4th Grade 10:00am to 10:45am

1st and 2nd Grade 11:00am to 11:45am

Pre School/Kindergarten Noon to 12:45pm

Registration: Begins March 14th-until filled

Fees: $24 for YMCA members, $42 for non-members

Flag Football

KG/1st/2nd/3rd Grade Boys

Dates: September 12th through October 24th

Ages: Boys in KG / 1st / 2nd /3rd Grade

Days: Sunday Afternoons

Times: KG and 1st Grade - 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

2nd and 3rd Grade - 2:30 m to 3:30 pm

Registration: Begins August 16th - until fi lled

Teams will be assigned by YMCA Staff on the 2nd week (September 19th)

Fees: $32 for YMCA members, $74 for non-members

Location: McQuade Softball Diamonds on North Washington Street

Special Event: A skills clinic will be presented by the University of Mary Football team on Sunday, September 12th at each grade’s designated time. This clinic is free for all league participants.

Description: This program is for boys in KG-1st and 2nd-3rd grade (note separate times for each Grade). The first week of the program will be the U-Mary skills clinic (September 12th), the 2nd Week will be a practice day (September 19th), and the following 5 weeks will consist of practice for the first 15 minutes, followed by an approximately 40 minute game. Score and standings are not kept in this lleague.

Volunteer coaches are needed for each team and will help coach/officiate during the game
